30. Guy Ritchie and Madonna
After being married for nearly eight years Guy Ritchie and Madonna ended their union in 2008. Ritchie opened up to “Details” magazine on the reasons for the split saying ‘He felt like he had walked into a soap opera’ but did not regret his time with the singer. After the split the former couple were embroiled in a long and acrimonious custody battle over their biological son Rocco. Madonna’s publicist told the Associated Press that the divorce payment would total at least $76 million. The legal costs associated with the bitter split were no doubt also hefty.
