After 16 years of marriage and one child together the couple divorced in 1993. Kenny said he was not sure why things didn’t work out between him and Gordon citing his obsession with music for the demise of his prior marriages. ‘There are reasons marriages end, but I’m not sure what happened between Marianne and me.’ he wrote later.
