13. Rachel Weiz

Although Rachel Weiz was raised Jewish she says she never fully connected to the faith. She has said that she was “really disobedient” and has never felt like she fit in anywhere. Both Weiz’s parents emigrated as children in 1938 to the United Kingdom prior to the onset of World War 11, in order to escape possible persecution from the Nazi regime in Germany Her father George Weiz was a Hungarian mechanical engineer and was from a Jewish family. Edith Weiz her mother’s paternal ancestry was Austrian – Jewish.
