Two women Lily, now 31 and Zoe now 40 have both alleged that they were sexually assaulted by Sex and The City star, Chris Noth.
The woman reportedly approached The Hollywood Reporter (THR) separately and did not know each other.
According to the women, the reason why they finally chose to speak out years later about the alleged assaults stemmed from press reports and promotions Of HBO Max’s Sex and the City new series And Just Like That in which Noth is playing his long-standing role as “Mr Big.”
The women claim this regurgitated painful memories of incidents they say occurred in Los Angeles in 2004 and New York in 2015.
Both women are using pseudonyms to protect their privacy.
Chris Noth has vehemently denied the allegations of sexual allegations that were published against him on Thursday by The Hollywood Reporter.
“The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false. These stories could’ve been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago – no always means no – that is a line I did not cross. The encounters were consensual. It’s difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don’t know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women,” Noth said in a statement to CNN.
Zoe, the first woman claims she sought medical care following the incident but said did not file a police report. The UCLA Rape Crisis Center, where Zoe sought mental health support in 2006 confirmed to HTR that the facility had treated her without addressing the details of her case.
Zoe, then aged 22, moved to Los Angeles in 2004 and worked at a firm where Noth and other celebrities regularly had business.
“He would walk by my desk and flirt with me. He somehow got my number from the directory and was leaving messages on my work phone. My boss was like, ‘Mr Big’s leaving messages on your voicemail.”
Her ex-boss who also states that she was privy to some of the messages Noth left Zoe now admits that she thought it was a bit odd that Noth, who was 49 at the time was leaving Zoe these messages but she said it didn’t alarm her.
“This was peak Sex and The City,” she explained.
“He was like a god to us.”
Zoe claims she was assaulted in Noth’s Los Angeles apartment.
Her then boss allegedly found out about the attack but according to the story asked to keep it private.
The second woman Lily who now works as a journalist has stated that she met Noth when she was 25 and working as a server in the VIP section of a former New York nightclub.
According to a friend named Alex, a distressed Lily called her and said that Noth had ‘pretty forcibly” had sex with her in his apartment. Alex said that Lily did not call the police.
In messages sent between Noth and Lily and that have been reviewed, Noth referred to “our night last week,” saying it was “a lot of fun” and “I wasn’t quite sure how you felt.”
According to the story, Lily replied that she “certainly enjoyed” his company but also added that “I did feel slightly used.”
Both women have said that the alleged sexual incidents took place in front of a mirror.
These allegations against Noth have ignited an online post from actor Zoe Lister-Jones who worked with Noth when he starred on a “Law & Order” series when she was a guest star.
“Last week, my friend asked me how I felt about Mr Big’s death on And Just Like That, and I said honestly, I felt relieved,” she wrote.
“He asked why and I told him it was because I couldn’t separate the actor from the man, and the man is a sexual predator.”
Lister-Jones claims that during one take, Noth moved close to smell her neck and then said. “You smell good.”
Noth has been with Canadian actress and playwright Tara Wilson for two decades. The pair started dating in 2001 and were married in 2012.
